This is an exclusive invitation to attend a live Mayoral Debate at a historic Gramercy Park venue -- hosted, organized, and moderated by our very own group! This is an "open partisan" debate, as all declared mayoral candidates, regardless of their party affiliation were invited. The debate will take place a weekend prior to the September 12th primaries.

The following candidates have confirmed their participation in the debate:

• Fmr. Councilmember Sal Albanese (D)
• Richard Bashner, Esq. (D)
• Akeem Browder (G)
• Aaron Commey (L)
• Bob Gangi (D)
• Mike Tolkin (D)

The following candidates were invited, but haven't responded or confirmed:

• Mayor Bill de Blasio (D)
• Fmr. NYPD Det. Bo Dietl (I)
• Assmeblywoman Nicole Malliotakis (R)


The debate will be in a "townhall" format, covering the following topics:

• Housing
• Transit
• Education
• Public safety
• Job growth and economic development
• The “quality of life” issues.


Event program:

• 7:00 - 7:15 pm: an introduction by the organizers.

• 7:15 - 7:35 pm: opening statements by each candidate in alphabetical order (3 minutes for each opening).

• 7:35 - 7:50 pm: questions by the moderator to each candidate.

• 7:50 - 8:15 pm: “crossfire” (each candidate can direct questions against any opponent).

• 8:15 - 9:00 pm: Q&A from the audience (“town hall” format).

• 9:00 - 9:10 pm: “lightning round” questions (answers in a “Yes” or “No” format).

• 9:10 - 9:40 pm: closing statements by each candidate in descending alphabetical order (5 minutes for each closing).

• 9:40 to 10:30pm: post-debate party!
